New high temperature electrolytics designed for automotive applications

Samwha Electric UK has introduced a series of RoHS-compliant, long-life, miniature aluminium electrolytic capacitors which have been especially designed to cope with the high thermal stresses associated with confined automobile engine spaces.
Capacitors capable of withstanding the high temperature stresses that are associated with automotive engine compartments allow the positioning of electronic control units close to where they are applied, rather than some distance away in the passenger compartment.
This helps promote weight reduction and improve fuel efficiency - a constant demand for automotive manufacturers. (October 2005)
